Human Subject Research

All research conducted by faculty, staff, or students of the University of the Ozarks that involves human subject participants must be reviewed and approved by our Institutional Review Board (IRB) of record prior to the initiation of data collection.

The Institutional Review Board at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has agreed to serve as our official IRB of record, and, as such, the review process and requirements of UALR's IRB are applicable to human subject participant research at Ozarks.

The Office of the Provost serves as a clearinghouse and liason between researchers and the UALR IRB. All requests for IRB review should be forwarded to the Provost for final submission to UALR. Detailed information concerning the review requirements and process can be found at UALR's IRB web page:
